House Washing is the safe and gentle process of using low pressure water paired with specialized cleaning detergents to safely remove dirt, mold, mildew, algae, lichen and other organics along with soot, insect droppings and more from your home's exterior. It is the new industry standard for maintaining delicate surfaces that high pressure might damage.
Traditional methods which use pure force to blast away debris from the surface level only. It does not take care of the problem. Soft washing relies on industry-specific surfactants to do the work of breaking down contaminants at the source allowing for a gentle, high volume, low-pressure rinse to remove from your homes surfaces.
When we address and eradicate the growth at the root, the molecular level, we can provide results that last 4 to 6 times longer than pressure washing alone.

Rhino Clean House Washing Service is like a carwash for your House!
It includes the soft washing of all exterior walls, doors, basic window wash, frames, sills, doors and frames, soffits and fascia, exterior of eavestrough, downspouts and we brush all detail areas of your home. This is not a touchless service! We ensure to physically agitate, brush and scrub all windows, sills, frames and ledges, eaves and so forth to ensure the best clean possible.. Sometimes soap and rinse is not enough to loosen that built up grime or that caked on spider residue.
This process is safe and gentle for use around landscaping, pets and other fragile materials around your home.
Some such building materials include vinyl siding, aluminum siding, brick and stone, stucco, cedar, wood and engineered siding, hardy board and much more.

This home in Cobourg, Ontario was in need of a Housewash to remove mold and mildew accumulation on the vinyl siding. It was especially thick behind the cedar bushes. Due to the dark and damp environment it became quite unsightly and unmanageable for the homeowner. Our residential soft wash was the perfect solution to gently and effectively treat and kill the spores. A safe, low-pressure rinse was then used to wash away the buildup and residue leaving behind fresh, clean, mildew-free siding.
High-Pressure should never be used on vinyl siding as it can force water behind the panels leading to interior rot, can crack or puncture brittle and aged siding and it can also strip the protective finish, making the siding more prone to future fading and growth.

Cleaning aluminum siding requires a specialized approach as it is more prone to denting, scratching and developing a chalky white film known as oxidation.
This home in Colborne, had a heavy growth of lichen which roots itself firmly to the aluminum. If left untreated, it will deteriorate the finish an leave behind exposed aluminum (bare metal).
We treated the home with our soft wash mix and allowed it to dwell to break the bonds of the growth which allowed us to gently rinse away.
Traditional power washing on aluminum siding is never recommended as it can lave streaks and "pencil lines" from disrupting the finish or oxidation film, it can also dent and damage the panels and force water in behind the aluminum panels causing rot and hidden mold.

Brick surfaces are typically much better at hiding growth and buildup due to their texture and porous surface but they do need regular washing and maintenance. Growth and fungus will deteriorate and break down the brick surface with time.
High pressure cleaning is not recommended for brick as it only treats surface-level growth meaning it will return much faster as the roots are still intact.
Surface Spalling can occur when high-pressure strips the kiln-fired protective outer layer from a brick causing it to flake or crack.
Port Hope, Ontario is full of Historic Homes. Buildings over 80 years old often use lime-based mortar that can be completely blasted away if high pressure is used.

Cleaning a Stucco Home requires a very delicate and gentle approach. At Rhino Clean, we have a great deal of experience working with this type of building material. Stucco is incredibly porous and fragile and if there is existing damage, attention to detail and a tremendous amount of care must be taken.
This beautiful, custom home in Cobourg, Ontario was in need of a Deep Clean and a refresh. Trees had just been removed from various areas around the perimeter and mold and mildew has grown into and stained the surface.
Our House Soft Wash allowed us to gently clean all the surfaces of this home to remove mold, mildew. buildup and staining to bring back that like-new look!
Low pressure eliminated the risk of water being forced through the porous surface or existing hairline cracks which could lead to internal rot and mold.
Our specialized detergents were able to penetrate into stuccos "swirls" and textured recesses where mold and algae are typically deeply rooted and high pressure would never be able to clean.
High-Pressure should never be used on stucco surfaces. If held too closely, it can act like a drill and bore holes or leave permanent etching or cause cracks and chipping or complete peeling of the finish.
